My Simple Accessibility Statement

I want everyone to be able to use this website, regardless of their ability or the technology they're using. I'm personally committed to making my site as simple, clear, and accessible as I can.

1. My Commitment

My goal is to create an online experience that is easy for everyone to use. I believe in a "no fuss" approach not just for my clients, but for my website visitors, too.

To help me do this, I'm using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. These are simply a set of official, global standards for making sure websites are accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

2. How I'm Doing This

3. I'm Always Learning

4. Let Me Know What You Think

I'm a solo designer, not a giant corporation, but I'm doing my best to follow these standards. This is an ongoing process, but here are the practical steps I take:

I know I'm not perfect, and new technology is always appearing. I view accessibility as an ongoing journey, not a one-time checklist. I will continue to review my site and try to improve it.

I would be genuinely grateful for your feedback.

If you have any trouble at all using my website, or if you have any questions or suggestions on how I could make things better, please get in touch.

Email: info@designbyria.co.uk

I will take your feedback seriously and do what I can to make things right.

  • Platform: I build my website on Wix, a platform that provides a strong, accessible foundation and is itself committed to accessibility.

  • Clear Language: I try to write in plain English and avoid tech jargon (as you've probably noticed!).

  • Easy Navigation: I'm working to make sure my site is logical and easy to move around, including for those who use a keyboard instead of a mouse.

  • Image Descriptions: I add "alt text" (alternative text) to all important images. This is a hidden description that screen readers can read out, so visitors who can't see the image still get the information.
